• Silver Creek Hot Springs offers soak in mineral water at the edge of Silver Creek
Silver Creek Hot Springs sits along the bank of Silver Creek, just next to Silver Creek Plunge Resort. This area is a part of Boise National Forest managed by U.S. Forest Service.
While using the resort's pool requires a day-use fee, the primitive Silver Creek Hot Springs can be enjoyed free of charge. Non-resort visitors should avoid using the resort parking. Instead, park just before the bridge and walk across to access the soaking area.

Silver Creek Hot Springs Experience
This primitive hot spring beside the creek offers a true back-to nature experience. Soakers can relax in warm, mineral-rich water while enjoying views of the forest canopy and the creek winding through the valley.
Geothermal water from a source, located on resort land flows into the resort pool before being piped downhill to a volunteer-built rock-and-sand soaking pool at the creek. Occasionally, small paint flakes from the resort pool may appear in the water, but the soaking area remains clean and comfortably warm. In July, the water coming through the pipe was around 99°F, while the soaking pool held steady temperatures of 97°F - 98°F.
Because of its proximity to the road and resort, swimwear is recommended.

Beyond Hot Springs: Other Adventures
Rockhounding is rewarding along Silver Creek and other nearby rivers. You can discover shiny flakes of muscovite mica and quartz with muscovite inclusions shining in the water like silver. This mineral is the reason the creek got its name.
Fishing is great in the area, too.
You can also enjoy nature viewing, wildlife watching, camping at nearby campgrounds, and hiking at multiple trails of Boise National Forest.
