Mundo Hot Springs Experience

Geothermal water emerges from the source at about 160°F (71°C) and is piped to two outdoor soaking areas:

• Large mineral pool: typically around 102°F (39°C), slightly cooler in summer for comfortable, longer soaks.
• Hot tub: maintained near 106°F (41°C) for a toasty, therapeutic soak.

Fresh spring water continuously refreshes both pool and spa, so no chemical treatment is needed. The large pool is drained, cleaned, and refilled weekly. Most guests notice no sulfur odor, just clean, clear mineral water with a soft feel.

Swimwear is required. The pool area is accessible, with bathrooms, changing rooms, and showers.

Mundo Hot Springs is a great basecamp for Idaho outdoor recreation.

• Weiser River Trail: Hike or bike segments of this 84-mile rail-trail that parallels the river and farmland.
• Fishing and rafting: Explore mellow Weiser River sections seasonally.
• Wildlife watching: Look for raptors, waterfowl, deer, and songbirds along riparian stretches.
• Day trips: Drive to Hells Canyon (the deepest river gorge in the United States) for viewpoints, jet boat tours, and rugged hiking.

The bistro is a highlight after a soak, serving snacks, homemade soups, sandwiches, leafy salads, and desserts. Expect simple, satisfying fare that pairs nicely with a mellow afternoon by the pool.

• Pool house and cabins: Simple, comfortable lodging steps from the water.
• RV and tent campsites: Easy road access, flat pads, and a short walk to the pools.
