• Terrace Lakes Resort is a mountain getaway offering an golf course, a hot springs pool, and lodging options
Terrace Lakes Resort is a private country club nestled in the Boise National Forest along the Middle Fork of the Payette River near Garden Valley. This unique destination blends natural beauty, geothermal soaking, and outdoor recreation in a peaceful mountain setting.
Fortunately, the resort is not exclusively a private facility. While it offers membership options for a monthly fee, Terrace Lakes is also open to the public. Non-members can access amenities like the golf course and geothermal pool by paying daily fees or if the overnight stay is reserved.
Terrace Lakes Resort Hot Springs
Hot mineral water comes from the source at 157°F and cools naturally as it flows to the large swimming and soaking pool. The water is rich in silica, calcium, magnesium, and sodium bicarbonate.
The pool's depth ranges from 2 to 5 feet, making it accessible and enjoyable for the entire family. It is divided into three areas: a quiet adult soaking section, a deeper swimming area, and shallow zone for children.
The pool is open year-round. Clothing is mandatory.
The water is treated with chlorine.
Beyond Hot Springs: Other Adventures
Terrace Lakes Resort offers a wide range of activities beyond hot springs. The 18-hole golf course features nine holes in open terrain and nine winding through the forest and along streams. Tournaments are held from May to October, and wildlife like deer and elk are often seen on the course.
Additional amenities include pickleball, a basketball court, hiking trails, and wildlife viewing opportunities. The nearby Payette River is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and rafting.
In the winter months, the area becomes a hub for snow-based adventures. Guests can enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, snow tubing, and even "Snolfing"—a fun mix of snow and golf played on the winter course.
