Zims Hot Springs is located 5 miles north of New Meadows on the bank of the Little Salmon River in West-Central Idaho. Nestled in scenic Meadow Valley and surrounded by forested mountains, it’s a peaceful haven for outdoor enthusiasts and hot spring lovers.

The springs lie within the traditional lands of the Nez Perce Tribe, who once used these waters for warmth and healing. Today, visitors can enjoy the same soothing experience in a peaceful day-use setting.

Zims Campground also makes an excellent base for exploring the area — enjoy nearby hiking trails, fishing spots, winter skiing, and other natural hot springs.

Zims Hot Springs Geothermal Experience

Geothermal water flows from the source at about 110°F (43°C) and 90 gallons per minute. It’s then cooled with river water before being piped into two pools — a smaller soaking pool kept at 100–105°F (38–41°C) and a larger swimming pool maintained between 90–100°F (32–38°C) year-round.

Facilities include changing rooms, restrooms, a snack bar, and arcade games. Towels, swimsuits, storage bins, and swim diapers are available for rent or purchase.
