Double J&D Historic Hot Spring Ranch sits about 60 miles north of Boise in Garden Valley along the South Fork of the Payette River and the Banks to Lowman Scenic Byway (Highway 17).

Homesteaded in the late 1800s and opened to guests in 2021, the ranch combines historic character with a private hot spring escape.

Set directly across the river from Campground Hot Springs, it offers a secluded alternative to public soaking.

Here, you can enjoy a romantic getaway for two with 24-hour access to your own natural hot spring pool, 7 acres of peaceful grounds, and no shared guest spaces.

Your stay also includes a cozy historic bungalow, river access, and plenty of outdoor recreation opportunities.

Access is easy via fully paved Highways 55 and 17, with free on-site parking available.

The mineral water at Double J&D comes from a natural spring outflow located on the property. It emerges at about 125°F (52°C) and cools to a comfortable soaking temperature in the private pool.

You can enjoy:

  • A private outdoor hot spring pool maintained between 101–104°F (38–40°C) year-round
  • A seasonal Fairytale Garden soaking tub tucked beneath a hidden waterfall
  • An endless geothermal hot shower in the private bathroom.

The water is 100% untreated, odorless, and mineral-rich, with no added chemicals.

Clothing is optional since only one couple is booked at a time.

The ranch operates year-round. Two hosts live on-site, but there are no shared guest areas.
