Mountain Village Lodge | Central Idaho

Mountain Village Lodge is a motel, restaurant, and bar that, in addition, offers its guests a fantastic soaking experience in mineral-rich water and a chance to enjoy the greater outdoors at the same time. This place in the small town of Stanley sits on the bank of the Valley Creek which enters the Salmon River 0.3 miles away.

Geothermal mineral water is piped into a wooden pool with a sandy bottom that is large enough to fit up to 8 people. Depending on the season, water temperature in the pool varies from 98° F (37° C) to 104° F (40° C). The pool sits in a log cabin with large doors you can open to enjoy the view of the mountains and the creek. There are benches and two changing rooms inside of the cabin. There are a few undeveloped pools on the river bank.

Mountain Village Lodge has 61 rooms. In addition, there are ten tent sites and six RV spots with full hook-up as well as a private house you can book for big families or events. You can book your overnight stay here.

The town features a general store, dancing hall as well as gas and service station.

Outdoor lovers enjoy a plethora of activities in the rural Idaho area depending on the season. During summer you can enjoy rafting, fishing, hiking, biking, camping, climbing, and horseback riding and winter is the time for snowmobiling, ice skating, skiing, and snowshoeing.

Bathing suits are required and soaking is by reservation only. Please, keep in mind that during busy times you might have to share the pool with others and private soaking is not guaranteed.
