Lava Hot Springs Water Park is an Olympic swimming complex in the town of Lava Hot Springs. It offers multiple soaking and swimming pools, water slides, a diving tower, and more!

The hot springs were originally part of the Fort Hall Reservation, created through a treaty between Native Americans and the U.S. government in the late 1800s.

The government later purchased the springs and the surrounding 178 acres of land. In 1902, it donated the property to the State of Idaho.

The state transferred all rights to manage and improve the land to the Lava Hot Springs Foundation. The foundation developed the springs into the family-friendly, day-use water park you can enjoy today.

  • A natural mineral water hot tub at 105°F
  • A kiddie pool with temperatures ranging from 92°F to 94°F
  • An AquaClimb wall

Outdoor features include:

  • Two water pockets: one for splashing and relaxing, the other for diving
  • A diving area with a 17-foot deep end and platforms at 5, 7, and 10 meters, plus an Aqua Zip
  • Two sets of water slides: one set of curly slides and one set of speed slides

Both indoor and outdoor facilities, including restrooms and dressing rooms, are fully handicap accessible.
