Home Hotel Lava Hot Springs

• Established in 1918, the Home Hotel has been part of Lava Hot Springs’ story for over a century

The Home Hotel in Lava Hot Springs offers a historic stay with private soaking and easy access to Idaho’s outdoor adventures.

The healing properties of the mineral water at Lava Hot Springs have long been known to the Shoshone-Bannock people, who called this place Poha-Ba—the “Land of Healing Waters.”

When European settlers arrived, they too were drawn to the springs. The Home Hotel, built in 1918, became one of the town’s first major structures.

In the 1970s, motel units were added to the east side, and the property became known as the Home Hotel & Motel. Following recent renovations, the name was restored to its historic roots: Home Hotel Lava Hot Springs.

Today, guests can relax in private mineral soaking tubs and explore everything Lava Hot Springs has to offer. Soaking is exclusively available to overnight guests.
