Whitmore Swimming Pool is a part of the Whitmore Recreation Area right off of Highway 395 in Mammoth Lakes, California. This spot is operated jointly by Mono County and the town of Mammoth Lakes and allows visitors to enjoy swimming in a full-size outdoor pool filled with warm mineral water while enjoying picturesque views of three different mountain ranges!

The mineral water comes out of the well, gets heated, pumped to the pool, and treated with chlorine. Water temperature in a full-size pool is generally around 82 degrees F (28 C) depending on the season while neighboring shallow children's wading pool temperature averages around 92 degrees F (33 C). The big pull is 25 meters long and it is separated into 6 lanes.

The facility has bathrooms, showers, a shaded barbeque area, and vending machines. Whitmore Recreation Area has Red Cross-certified lifeguards on duty. Whitmore offers a variety of classes.

The pool is open from mid-June to August Monday through Saturday.
