• Wall Creek Warm Springs is located along the Wall Creek
• Features a volunteer-built primitive warm pool
Situated 50 miles southeast of Eugene on a bank of Wall Creek, Wall Creek Warm Springs features beautiful scenery, the sounds of a rushing river, trickling and bubbling springs, and the ancient Willamette National Forest.
The stunning rocky banks, the sound of the creek, and the blue water encircled by the old forest create a meditative mood. No wonder Wall Creek Warm Springs is also known as the Meditation Pool.
The pool is only 12 feet wide and 3 feet deep. Its bottom is composed of rocks, sand, and gravel. Large boulders line the edge above the main source of this natural spring. A very faint sulfur odor is present.
Warm water emerges from the bottom of the pool at 104°F, but overall water temperatures typically range from 90°F to 98°F, depending on the weather. During colder months, the water may be too cool for a comfortable soak.
The pool can comfortably accommodate up to six people without feeling cramped.
Access to the warm springs is via a well-maintained, easy 0.3-mile trail from the parking area.
Beyond the Hot Springs: Other Adventures
Wall Creek Warm Springs has other cool adventures nearby:
Salmon Creek Falls - An easy hike leads you to this beautiful waterfall. I loved listening to the water rush down, and it's a perfect spot for pictures.
Salt Creek Falls - This is one of Oregon's tallest waterfalls. Standing at the viewpoint, I felt amazed by its power and beauty.
Odell Lake - Want to go fishing or boating? Odell Lake is a great place to spend an afternoon or even camp overnight.
Also, if you're up for more soaking, McCredie Hot Springs isn't far away. It's another natural hot spring with pools right along the creek.
