Surprise Valley Hot Springs is a private resort offering secluded bathing in mineral-rich water. The resort is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a peaceful vibe of the Northern Sierras, 5 miles away from the pioneer town of Cedarville.
The northeastern edge of Nevada, Surprise Valley is known as Tricorner Region because it is adjunct to three state borders of Oregon, California, and Nevada.
Surprise Valley Hot Springs offers a variety of rooms including standard, deluxe, and suites. All standard and deluxe rooms have their own outdoor soaking tubs fed directly with artesian hot mineral water. Some suites contain indoor jetted tubs. Each room features a full kitchen. Reservations are required for all of the rooms. Please be advised that there is no internet access in the rooms and only adults are allowed on the premises.
Multiple activities are available for hot springs visitors. Many historical sites are in very close proximity to the hot springs. The Cedar Pass Ski Area is a short drive from the site and a golf course is about 30 minutes away. Hiking and biking trails are numerous and can be combined with exploring local nature and views. The area has multiple spots for fishing. Bird watching is another popular pastime in the area.
The Dark Sky viewing is the pearl of the location. The Massacre Rim Dark Sky Sanctuary is located 30 miles east of the resort and it is only one out of ten such sanctuaries on the planet.
Neighboring Nevada’s Hays Range and Warner Mountains give visitors even more options for a variety of recreational activities.
