Fairmont Hot Springs is a 500-acre full-service resort nested on Montana's southwestern edge 15 miles west of Butte.
The resort has one of the largest mineral water pools in the state. The resort is a geothermal mineral water paradise with much more to offer than just soaking. It has lodging, a golf course, a spa, restaurants, and other amenities.
Fairmont is a fantastic getaway and a very comfortable base camp to explore the surrounding area and the greater outdoors.
Geothermal Water & Soaking
Geothermal mineral water flows from the source at 155° F (68° C). Then, it is cooled down and piped into 2 oversized Olympic swimming pools and 2 mineral soaking pools.
With a variety of pools and tubs, you can pick if you want to soak and relax your whole body in hot water or if you want to swim around and get your exercise in while still retaining mineral water benefits without the risk of overheating.
At the resort pool area, you can enjoy:
- Indoor Swimming Pool: Olympic-size 128 ft x 45 ft pool, 88° F – 94° F (31° C - 34° C)
- Outdoor Swimming Pool: Olympic-size 164 ft x 59 ft pool, 88° F – 94° F (31° C - 34° C)
- Indoor Soaking Pool: 46 ft x 16 ft, 100° F – 104° F (38° C - 40° C)
- Outdoor Soaking Pool: Smaller diamond-shaped pool, 100° F – 104° F (38° C - 40° C)
- Steam rooms: Separate for men and women
- Water slide: 350 ft long and 5 stories high. The mix of regular and mineral water feeds it.
The pool area is wheelchair accessible.
The soaking is only open to registered overnight guests (including RV park and campground visitors). No day use allowed.
Fairmont Hot Springs Resort is a developed location, so clothing is mandatory throughout the entire facility.
