Chico Hot Springs is a geothermal mineral water nirvana in Montana's Paradise Valley, 25 miles south of Livingstone and 35 miles north of Yellowstone National Park.

The resort's history goes back to the 19th century. In 1862, gold was discovered in the area, attracting prospectors. They also found geothermal mineral water, and shortly thereafter, in 1900, the Chico Warm Springs Hotel was opened. It quickly became popular and attracted large crowds.

Today, Chico Hot Springs is an inviting place to relax from a busy life. You can stay overnight at the resort hotel or visit Chico for a day trip.

In addition to hot mineral soaking, Chico is a fantastic place to explore the natural wonders of the surrounding area through hiking, horseback riding, fishing, or other adventures.

Geothermal Water & Soaking

Geothermal mineral water emerges from multiple springs at 113° F (45° C) and is then piped into outdoor soaking and swimming pools.

The outdoor soaking pool is 10 ft x 30 ft with a temperature of around 104° F (40° C).

The swimming pool is almost Olympic-size, handicap accessible, with a water temperature of about 96° F (36° C).

Clothing is mandatory since it is a developed, family-friendly location.

Also, the resort has a complete spa center where you can book various treatments, including a massage, a facial, or a wrapping.

The resort hosts yoga classes. Additionally, the resort has multiple dining options, including Dining Room, Saloon, Poolside Grille, and Espresso Bar.
