Grande Hot Springs

Grande Hot Springs RV Resort is part of the historic Hot Lake property, with mineral-rich water pumped directly from the thermal Hot Lake

Located about 8 miles south of downtown La Grande at the foot of Craig Mountain in the Grande Ronde Valley, Grande Hot Springs RV Resort offers mineral-water soaking in two outdoor pools.

The hot water is pumped from nearby Hot Lake and mixed with cooler geothermal well water to create comfortable soaking temperatures.

The RV resort was built in 1988 as part of a redevelopment plan for the historic Hot Lake property.

By the mid-1990s, the property was again on the verge of bankruptcy and foreclosure. In 1994, it was divided into several parcels, separating the RV resort from the neighboring Hot Lake properties. The resort was formerly known as Eagles Hot Lake RV Resort.

Grande Hot Springs Experience

More than 2 million gallons of water at approximately 186°F (86°C) flow from the thermal springs into Hot Lake each day. The resort pumps hot water from the lake's spring source and uses it for soaking and heating the buildings.

The hot water is mixed with 77°F (25°C) geothermal well water to achieve a comfortable soaking temperature.

The resort has two outdoor mineral soaking pools. The warm pool is maintained at 92–96°F (33–36°C), while the hotter pool is kept at 102–104°F (39–40°C).

For private soaking, guests can reserve one of the yurts with a private hot-spring soaking tub. These tubs are available year-round.

The main lodge has restrooms, showers, and other guest amenities.
