Green Canyon is a developed, rural soaking spot in the emerald green hills of Canyon Creek, 30 miles from Driggs. In addition to geothermal mineral water pools, this spot has a huge campground.

The springs' history dates back to the 19th century. Native Americans knew about the spring and enjoyed its rejuvenating properties long before the first Europeans arrived.

Robert Stuart and his group visited the springs in September of 1812. They camped in the area and soaked in the hot springs before crossing the Big Hole Mountains into Teton Valley. The rumors about the place spread quickly, and soon, more settlers came there to enjoy the healing waters.

The Pincock family moved to the area and built the first pool there. Later, they built dressing rooms, expanded the pool's size, and created a recreational resort.

You can either swing by during the day for a refreshing dip or stay overnight at the campground.

Geothermal Water & Soaking

Geothermal water comes out of the spring at 115° F (46° C) degrees and is piped into 3 pools.

The big pool is maintained at 96° F (36° C) for comfortable swimming.

The hydrojet soaking hot pool is 105° F (41° C).

The third pool is essentially a cold plunge with a temperature of 55° F (13° C).

Also, you can book a whole pool for yourself outside the public open time.

The bathsuits are required at Green Canyon.
